My guess is that's why he wouldn't take anything but a USPS money order. He knew how screwed the system was and got the MO and cashed it and had no intention of sending the item. Nice racket he has going on!

**** happens. Not a big deal, I'm still taking and sending money orders. Still the least risky and most private way of taking payments from out of state buyers.
No the website STILL says "Sold but not cashed".
Old friend of mine ( and my wife's distant cousin) lives very close to the Jones/Jasper Co line off Hwy 11 close to Piedmont Wildlife Reserve. It's like 6 or 7 miles down dirt roads once you turn off Hwy 11. He still has a Windstream land line phone at his house. And that's mostly because there still ain't a mobile provider that works out there. I can't imagine being the UPS or FedEx driver seeing those addresses piled up in their trucks.

At work we know our UPS driver by name. Hell he's there everyday. If he ain't dropping shirts off to us he's dropping all kinda **** at the machine shop next to us. Hell my boss has his number and will be texting him when we're in a rush for an order. I constantly say "Damn David, quit bothering working folks." More than a few times I have jumped in my truck and met our driver at the Sports Center in Perry or one of his other stops to get our **** asap.
Point here is... That's a good driver and there's no way in hell a postal worker would help you out like that.
Everybody is screwing everybody these days! You just can't escape it. I had a home warranty with home shield and they charged me twice one month for my monthly payment. I tried for months to get that reversed and they never did. They would not send me an email saying that it had been refunded, would not send me any kind of invoice or billing statement saying that had been paid and refunded. I kept getting these idiots that just kept beating around the bush and we're not provide any proof that the extra payment had been refunded. Needless to say I dropped them after that. It's like people can take what they want or charge you what you want and there's no recourse.
I work at a UPS Store, I would do anything except send any type of currency through USPS. We get nonstop complaints about USPS, since... we can ship through them.. people will cheap out and use their service and them come back angry at us when it's lost in the void. Do a wire, do zelle, spend an afternoon driving and pay in person.
my old mail man did. he retired like 5-6 years ago...new guy is an asshole. won't wave or speak. just looks like a ****ing invalid drawing a gubt check.
