Do you want to end comments in the classifieds?

The ODT is not a free society. It is a personally owned and operated website where the owner is free to establish whatever rules he chooses.[/QUOTE

True....then enforce the current rules instead of pulling a congress and trying to enact new ones.

If you look back, you'll see my first response was essentially that, but included using the "banner" to notify everyone this particular rule was going to be enforced.

This falls into "The agree to disagree" bin with you and I.

My point is this....we are quick to assume we have freedoms when in actuallity we have freedoms built within rules....no True Freedom. I was using this example to show a national level example as well....our country.

I agree we don't have "true freedom" anywhere. True freedom is called anarchy and generally is a bad thing for any society or group imo.

I find the comments entertaining and informative. There are many firearms or accessories I'm not familiar with. The comments help when people are called out for charging crazy high prices or giving incorrect information on an item for sale. All this information helps members like myself become more familiar with firearm related items.

So it would not bother non of you if your sister, mom or whom ever was in NEED of some protection (a Gun) and did not have you to educate them on the pricing and so forth, tried to buy a gun at 500 but was snatched up by a flipper then the next day posted for 675(Not to mention illegal)? I thought we were a community here not a bunch of folks trying to retire off each other? That's the thing that bothers me the most let's have a sticky and or forum trying to help educate folks before they jump in and buy, can't make any one person have better morals but we should be able to help the folks that just really are not educated on the pricing enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The information you receive is fine, as long as it is not in another members ad. There are "pricing rant threads" started everyday. While I may get tired of the same thing over and over, it is well within the rules to complain about prices in a thread about pricing. What is against the rules, is typing your opinion about the price in another members ad. Why someone feels it is their "right" to do that is just beyond me.
