Does most of sellers require deposits?

I agree on this point, but the opponent hasn't provided any phone number or info.
They just contacted me with an iCloud account
If they don't contact you directly on the website via private message, you can assume 100% of the time it is a scam.

if you receive a text message or email from someone saying they are from the website, it's 100% of the time a scam.

If you receive a message on the website from another member, then you have to do a little research, but it could still be a scam. I have never asked for a deposit and haven't heard of that happening without maybe a FaceTime call or many specific photos of the product to confirm that they have it in hand (like a photo with a piece of paper with a hand written note with the date and their username from the website).

Hi, I am new to this forum and I only made one transaction on used handguns.
I was browsing listings on this forum
And contacted two more sellers.
They both contacted me with their email address iCloud account, and required a deposit.
Is this a normal thing here?
The first seller on here he haven't required anything he just checked my ID.
I am at southern Georgia.

I feel like these are scams, but just in case if I am not following the unwritten rules.

The sellers had several reviews, but since I'm new, I don't.

+ I am not a native English speaker.. please understand.
+ I started my first residence in this country at NY, thats why my area code is 934

your number is posted in a public forum. delete that post. def scams.

I never have, however the last guy I sold a firearm too sent me half upfront the day we were supposed to meet up and damn did it feel nice…..👍🤷‍♂️

Been offered a deposit but never asked for one. Definitely don’t advertise your phone number. Welcome to Georgia and keep that number. No need to change a phone number you’ve had for awhile. People move all the time and keep their phone numbers.
