Does most of sellers require deposits?

Yep! Scum bag scam! I am amazed at the amount of scams being perpetrated online.

However, this is our fault! As I stated in another thread not dealing with scam but is the same we have made ourselves open to more stress because of this technology that's supposed to make our lives so much easier. We get scammed online, experience problems with high-tech equipment like cars and computers constantly. This explosion in technology is what's going to be our downfall!

He may just have five or six potential offers and wants to lock down the sale but that's the buyers incentive to get off his butt and go down there and get it if it's on the level. Which I'm very not very optimistic about!

Any good Trader on this forum will not ask for a deposit. The ones that are worth their salt will take it on a word that you will come get the item if you say you you want it. I know certain things happen and we all have to back out every now and then but in the spirit of being trustful to other members we don't normally ask for a deposit.

Hi, I am new to this forum and I only made one transaction on used handguns.
I was browsing listings on this forum
And contacted two more sellers.
They both contacted me with their email address iCloud account, and required a deposit.
Is this a normal thing here?
The first seller on here he haven't required anything he just checked my ID.
I am at southern Georgia.

I feel like these are scams, but just in case if I am not following the unwritten rules.

The sellers had several reviews, but since I'm new, I don't.

+ I am not a native English speaker.. please understand.
+ I started my first residence in this country at NY, thats why my area code is 934

Scam!

Is this legal. That's my question. Can a 24 year old foreigner who has only been in country for a year and a half and recently moved from NY, own a firearm in GA.? He's never mentioned his status.
depends on status. Green card holder or resident, good to go. Otherwise it gets murky.

As long as he is here legally and doesn't have a criminal record I don't see any problem with it.

Smoh Smoh , try to get a Georgia weapons carry permit if you can. Georgia is a constitutional carry state so you don't need it to legally carry a gun but it would make transactions on here much easier for you. I won't sell a gun to anyone that won't show me a carry permit and many other sellers on here feel the same way. This site isn't a joke, we trade lethal weapons with each other and nobody wants them to fall into the wrong hands.
