I am in the process of obtaining a Georgia carry permit and registering fingerprint registration with the ATF.
Don't worry about it. Controversy is what this site is all about.I understand how it could be uncomfortable and worrying when it comes to aliens. I also believe that crimes and problems caused by foreigners are serious issues that must be prevented.
What I want to make clear is that I, at least, am enjoying this hobby while following all the laws and procedures. Of course, saying this under anonymity may not mean much, but I personally live here while complying with the rules.

It seems I may have created unnecessary controversy here. I want to sincerely apologize to all forum members, and I hope everyone continues to enjoy this hobby safely.
https://www.edo.cjis.gov/#/Sir, it's statements like this that tend to worry folks here. There is no such thing as a fingerprint registration with the ATF unless you are applying for a transfer tax stamp on a Title II arm (machinegun, suppressor, short barreled rifle, modern gun with a bore diameter greater than 1/2", etc.)
If you apply for a GWL (Georgia Weapons License) you will be fingerprinted but the BATFE doesn't have those on file, the State of Georgia does.
I would say stupid thinghttps://www.edo.cjis.gov/#/
On this link, I was registering Applying For The NICS Voluntary Appeal File (VAF)
Sorry for being unclear.
I heard If I do this, I would get shorter time on background check(?)
Please correct me if I'm wrong and doing stupid thing.
You have not been here long!!! If someone asks should I order 1 taco or 2 the controvery starts and runs to 25 pages. It seems I may have created unnecessary controversy here. I want to sincerely apologize to all forum members, and I hope everyone continues to enjoy this hobby safely.

I appreciate your advice. We're certainly not lawyers here, and we don't play them on TV either, but if your NICS check failed and you had to file an appeal, that's between you and the ATF. Don't take any advice related to that issue from ANYONE here. There are lawyers who visit here, but they're not YOUR lawyer.
If you plan to live in GA for a while, while it's not mandatory, getting a Georgia Weapons Carry License is probably a really good idea as a first step.
Not meaningless. I myself (and many other natural born American citizens who've had security clearances) was delayed continuously due to NICS checks when purchasing firearms during the 1990's after the Omnibus crime Bill of 1994 passed into law.https://www.edo.cjis.gov/#/
