Not much of a "safe" IMHO ..............not much effort to compromise ...............
I don't leave anything of value in my truck ... that being said I use a motion detector alarm in truck(1) that I plug in room socket (2) to help protect my truck being stolen...........

It was an off-brand off of Amazon, I ordered a new one from CONSOLE VAULT that looks much more secure...but I am NOT putting any faith in it! Kinda like car door locks, my dad used to say that locked cars only keep honest people honest, criminals don't care - I believe he was spot on!

Sorry to hear this sir. After years of working hotels I can tell you;

1. Never leave anything in the car while parked/overnight
2. Never put your luggage in the car when checking out and go back in to the hotel,
3. Never let the wife leave the shopping items from the day in the car,

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING stops these assholes!

And remember rule #1
Locks only keep the honest people honest.

It wasn't negligence, negligence would have been leaving it in an unlocked vehicle on the dash. It was in a locked safe. I sincerely hope my mistake doesn't get your rights 'tooken' away.

Not unless you can articulate that you were in immediate threat of death or serious physical injury. Word of caution whenever attorneys get involved things can get convoluted. Best to avoid that whole deadly force situation.
