Please. It's a documented fact that ISPs provide the government with data from the public's internet queries. It's not officially acknowledged or admitted but its happening. There's money involved and a lot of other factors that go into how and why it occurs, either way its going in everyday.

Based on how I've seen the government work and the level of talent they employ, I'd say most of us are safe from ever being looked at. Unless you're googling subjects containing key words tied to criminal/terroristic behaviors.
