Was 10 years old when I killed my first buck. It was a big 6 pointer when I shot it my dad said give him an hour and we did and we went to retrieve it and me being a little kid I was so excited that when we went to look for him I saw him and walked up on him and that’s when my dad grabbed me and said Son before you even walk up to the deer poke it first with the rifle. As soon as I poked it that deer almost got back up and I shot it again, scared the heck out of me because I thought it was dead
