I was blessed with a beautiful and rather eventful morning. I saw 13 deer. Two of which were shooter bucks. One of them was a stud. Luckily for them I am tagged out on bucks. I did manage to put some more meat in my freezer though.
This was also the first kill for my Ruger Deerstalker 44 mag Carbine. Thought it was a doe but it turned out to be a 100# button head. One well placed 240 grain HP dropped it in its tracks. I shot the second one (one in the creek) later in the morning while on my way back to the truck. No blood trailing required for it either.

think you will find the 44mag in a rifle to be a flat out deer stomper. actually one of the best I've ever shot for dropping them in their tracks
