Buying a generator is the sure fire way to make sure your power never goes out.
I have been looking for one ever since Irma. This will be my first generator, and I'm thrilled it's a duel-fuel option. This one seems to be a lot of bang for your buck.
For occasional use, these are fine.
For regular use, you will burn up starter motors often. And those steel gas tanks are prone to leak. A neighbor has 2 of them, and one is down for maintenance quite often.
Parts are all bur non existent in the US. It takes some real digging to source parts.

I have a couple of these. Don't put gasoline in it unless you have to. You won't gum up the carb hooking up propane. My whole house generator fried a board right before Irma. I used these for the freezers and had no issue. Not for everyday use but good for backup.
