Earrings in a pig! Hi point 995 transformation...

Bought this Hi point 995 from a member on here, and ordered the good looking stock for it...I painted the textured areas on the stock gray, then sanded them in order for the black to show through...Thinking RED for the outline...
But then, the barrel looked awful small hanging out there...so I played a little metal shop...

Love the DIY shroud, If you put the front site block back on and turn it down, you'd make up that 3/4" of barrel sticking out.
You TIG that?

Thanks fellas! It's really only got 1/2 inch of barrel sticking out, And I think it's going to be threaded...But yes, Tig welded stainless perforated. Added the 10/32 nut inside one of the washers for the set screw.
