East German surplus AK mags

I've thought about buying a few very good condition East German mags and I haven't handled any in person but I've heard they have vastly superior build quality and QC to any of the other surplus mags. Does anyone have any experience with them and are they worth the extra price over the other combloc offerings? I'm sure they will work just the same as any other surplus mag but are they really nice enough to buy a few to have on hand?

I have about 10, and no issues at all.

I have some in the mix with other steel mags. Never had an issue with any of them.

Of all the basic AK47 mags, they are my favorite. Very neat and beautiful welds (epecially beautiful on the spine, check for yourself when you get them and compare) and love the blue finish on it. Spring and follower are super smooth. Never had a single issue with them. Only thing is see is they are more expensive but worth it.

I have a couple but my go tos are Chinese flat backs I'm pretty much gay for them.
