Englishman in NE GA

No pubs down in South GA but most of us have a few cans and bottles to share. WARNING if it's in a Mason jar sip lightly! Don't expect anything dark to drink South of Macon unless you bring it. Walked in a package shop a few years back and asked for Dark beer and the lady didn't know what it was.

If you are partial to Guinness and Black you'll probably need to take your own Creme de Cassis. You can buy Mackeson at Total Wine but it's brewed in Florida under license - not the same
I did have a couple at Paddys in Braselton, it was ok and poured correctly, insanely expensive but still delicious!

Is this an invite?…. It sounds like an invite 😂

When I retire I hope to spend some time in the UK shooting. Crows and pigeons on ag fields looks like a lot of fun. That's hard to come by in Georgia. It's done, it just isn't easily available.

The driven bird shooting looks like fun, but very different in that we actually frown upon skybusting here. There they seem to make fun of you shooting at the ranges we prefer here. I'm not the only one who yells at people for not letting them get down on the field. Fact is you can set up for long shots on a flight line and drop them one after the other. It's not hard if you know how. The fun of doves is when they get close and start juking and jiving.

Decoying pigeons and crows is one of my favourite types of shotgun shooting. It can either be very very slow or thick and fast, challenging shooting. And wood pigeon is delicious.

Driven bird shooting is great fun but also expensive. Luckily i am good friends and grew up around game shoots so i have lots of opportunities for it, driven birds can humble you very quickly 😂
My Saturdays during the shooting season were spent beating and hosting for a local pheasant/partridge and duck shoot.

With that comes the rabbit, fox and deer shooting, so i was super lucky back in England.

I also love walked up shooting.

On a side note, if that is ever something you would some day be interested in, i could put you in touch with the right guys.
