Yeah they did....they have some stuff that I liked in the late 80s- early 90s....Matco is good for all those little specialty tools you only use for one thing on one effing car. They just aren't as high as SO for that stuff. As far as actual tools....wrenches, sockets, etc., SO all the way. And yes their air tools are the best too. IMO. I know what you mean about making a ratchet work for you 'Paluza....there is not an air tool company I've found that has ratchets or impacts as good as SO.

That's because better air tools do not exist.

I have a life long friend that bought a Matco franchise...I Don't know his area, but if he is around you I can send him .....he is a very cool guy and has poured almost his life's savings into this thing. Making it work too! I wouldn't mind one. After 30years twisting wrenches, I hurt!! Lol

The Matco area manager was just in my shop they are restructuring the area. I told him if they send a different guy to my shop I would love to deal with them but not the Ahole I kicked off the property.

I hear ya....I've run across some tool guys that think they are doing you a favor by coming to ya! I refuse to deal with them.
I looked into some tool franchises....its work, no doubt. But it's also a good living when you do it right from the beginning. Just like anything else, you have to make an investment to start off.

If you swap from a hand tool to the electric 100 times a day, you would probably be losing 30 minutes a day just doing that.
Not a good way to make money if you are working flat rate.

I have a old SO 510B that was the stuff in the early 90's. New SO stuff has a lot more power. Still strong and never built.

Trust me no issue losing time working flat rate. If your fast enough that's time that's not going to matter you will lose much more elsewhere

It takes about 2-3 weeks but he gives me one to use until I get mine back.
