Father & Son Mosin Nagant project

So my 11 year old has a fascination with Mosin Nagants. He decided he wanted his scoped and camped and an archangel stock.

So this one had been floating around on here for a bit so I picked it up instead of messing up out good one. It came with everything you see included a rewelded bolt for a scope.

So here it is after drilling and tapping the reciever for the Red Star scope mount

Here is the assembly of the rifle prior to paint and final assembly. Silver scope is one I have had sitting around for years and couldn't think of anything better to paint since I don't use them.

Here is the finished rifle. 3 color sponge camo with two clear coats to top it off. He did all the sponging of the additional colors and had a blast doing it. He is proud of his first project and I am proud of him and happy for him.

That's way cooler than my 1st. Awesome looking rifle.

This type of story makes me happy. I have such fond memories of learning to shoot with my uncle, and can't wait to pass on the knowledge I was granted.

This is awesome, hopefully he stays interested through his lifetime.
