I'll start with the real cherry bombs, M80's and TNT's (my time was in the late 50's early 60's)
we'd launch tin cans into the stratosphere if they didn't shrapnel low altitude,
Got many a fish with a weight tied to em, after chumming a bit
played army using em as grenades with bb's elmer glued on, tied to em,

I would use the empty toilet paper roll, wrap duct tape around it, fill it with strike anywhere match heads and powder from shotgun shells and 30-06 shells (my dad never missed a few of each), pack an M-80 in the middle, with the fuse hanging out, pack in more powder and match heads until it was full, tape it all up, attach more fuse, go deep in the weeds, find a hollow in a tree, slide it in, light the longer fuse and haul butt out of there. Run and get behind a really wide tree and wait. The explosion was very satisfying and many a tree toppled over due to my efforts. Started a pretty good size fire once but was able to beat it out with a burlap bag that I carried to bomb stuff in.

I would not recommend anyone try this at home. I was pretty young and could run a lot faster than I can now.

Bear grizzly & arrows with m80s taped on.
(Had a undeveloped buckhead area nearby but every once in a while they went over the creek into the next neighborhood)
Know two brothers that used to shoot their rifles (22lr) at each other.

Just a few firecrackers, sparklers and I built a rocket from a kit once. I've watched others along the way. I've burned more powder shooting than anything

I know some momos in the neighborhood who wrapped masking tape around a firecracker and forced it into the base of one of these, after filling it with black powder. BATFE investigated from what I heard. I was in military college at the time. 1984.

Man, imagine if they would have put a much faster burning, pistol or shotgun powder in it!
