First Air gun Deer

How on earth did you manage to kill a deer without having AT LEAST the almighty deer killing power of a 30-06 or more??? Especially since I've been told so many times that anything weaker than that "Ain't worth fooling with!"

You mean shot placement actually trumped muzzle velocity and projectile weight???
Your line of questioning is bordering on heresy!! How dare you?!

What is the additional cost of an air cylinder and a re-fill of the cylinder? How about a box of projectiles? How many charges can you put into the rifle before the re-fill cylinder pressure is below 3000psi? Just trying to get an idea of the life-cycle cost of ownership would be. I like it

There appear to be some videos, but most of them are of animals being shot.
Three basic ways to recharge the air cylinder on the gun;
1. Hand Pump- $49-$250
2. Larger air tanks/hoses- $100-$900
3. High pressure Air Compressor- $300-$3500 ( I do have all 3, hand pumping sucks for old guys)
Projectiles-Prices vary and go up and down with sales/availability. Last case of the Noslers were $.50 a piece. Now they are higher. You can cast your own and there are plenty of aftermarket outlets that sell other ones.
I get about 6 good shots out of one charge on the gun, starting at 2800 PSI
Of course it's a whole lot cheaper shooting .22 and .177 PCP guns.

Been around for a minute (powerful air guns). Lewis and Clark dragged one across the country. That one was estimated to fire a round lead ball, 46 caliber at about 1000fps.

Great looking buck!

I have the "Texan" in .357 but it's the long one, like a foot longer than the Bulldog and can't see swinging that in the blind. I haven't even shot it yet. (got it on a deal) But the .45 Texan Carbine is in my sights. The FPE you can get from that is 2-3x what my Bulldog spits out. Just remember, you'll need a good air source to play with it.
