First Day Without Beer...

I tried the Bud Light Platinum and the Black Crown. Bitter as hell and I need a Goody Powder with them. I've had folks give me them high octane craft beers here and there. I aint found one I can stand.
I'm glad I never took up cigarettes. I smoked GOOD cigars in the early/mid 90s. But I had to have Black Label and Glinlivet to go with them. I threw away a lot of money in the 90s. I just figured it up earlier. At $25.00 a week in beer which is a conservative estimate, I'm pissin away $1300.00 a year. And that's not a fortune. I know people that spend 3 times that annually. BUT I don't have any income right now. So this behavior is irresponsible on my part. If I had done this last January I'd have the money to pay rent/deposits on a place in Brunswick,St.Mary's or Yulee and I could get the hell out of middle GA.
So I guess there is more than one motivation for the same goal.

You have the right idea, those were similar reasons to my quitting a few years ago. I only listed the health benefits, didn't even go into the financial. Good luck, you got this!

Use natural sweetener for your drinks. any sugars are the crap that gets you. If you want to reboot your body and lose weight and feel better, watch the video. Fat ,sick and nearly dead. My brothers family has been on his program for months now and its working wonders. It takes awhile to start it and tweek the taste but most of the juice recipes are really good.My wife and I started this 5 days ago. The first 3 days can be rough when its cleansing your body. You can feel shi**y

So you're juicing? I looked at doing that. But how many days are recommended? Sugar isn't a week spot for me. That's why I don't drink sodas. I just have to get out and get moving.

My mom's husband died last year from years of alcohol abuse. When he died is liver had completely failed. He died a slow, painful death.

Oh hell I can come up with plenty of reasons. My father died last Sept. just short of 65. He smoked Reds for decades before switching to Lights and went through a 12 pack of Bud a day. His mother and father in law were at his funeral and they're old as dirt. When you're in laws out live you it's just pathetic. Plus, my wife is somewhat of a prepper. Has been for about 5 years. There is probably 3 to 4 months worth of food and water stored here. Not to mention the other essentials. But then here we are both of us overweight and way out of shape. So the point here is what good will all this gear and go bags do us if we're both too out of breath to tote it half a mile?

AND... I don't see medical care getting anything but worse in the near future. So we both need to be in shape and well enough to avoid the hospital.

Go join a gym, find a good personal trainer and get to work. You'll find that you can get into shape pretty quick if you cover all the bases and work with a professional. I'm sure I'll get a bunch of whining and crying about what I just said but it does work and if you are consistent and do your part you can get some fantastic results. I see this happen every day.

If you're doing the low-carb thing, you can still drink liquor, just not the stuff that is sweetened (like So Comfort).

I fell off the low-carb wagon for the holidays and gained 5 or 6 pounds in three weeks. Wow, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed beer because I drank a few over the hoidays.

So, to answer you question, I drink bourbon and diet coke. Gin and diet tonic water, stuff like that.

If you can add some kind of activity to your daily routine, that would help as well. I've heard it say if doctors could prescribe exercise it would be the number one prescription in the US. Even if it is walking, it does the body GOOD!
