Crossman .22 pump pellet dun was my first acquired effective weapon at age 8 (cant remember the actual model was all wood and steel though) had an old old daisy bb gun prior that was moms but went to rifled pump air guns by the time I was about 8, As for real guns I Was Given a Savage 311 16 Ga double by my grandfather when I was 10. Had parental assistance and bought a Frankenstein parts 1911'a1 when I was 17 (1982) and bought A stainless steel Ruger Single Six as my first purchased gun when I was old enough to buy a pistol on my own (ie 21). I still have the Savage 311 and the Single Six. Wish I had kept he 45 (Stainless Essex frame w Highly polished and deeply re-blued Remington Rand top w Millet sights).
Granddad gave me a youth sized Springfield (Model 51 or 14?) .22... I was four at the time and their neighbors apparently caused a scene when they found out I was the one shooting it behind Granddad's house. The gun was just about as tall as me.
very first gun i used was a ballards points best side by side 12 gauge (i was 6 or so)........first gun i BOUGHT was the all steel frame p series ruger in 40. dont' remember the model dont' care enough to look it up.
