I can confirm that this place has legit drugs (just looking at the pictures, not actually testing them). They are using the most common generic brands from India. The same stuff I have at my clinic. Prices are not that bad. About 2-3 times my cost but I of course buy in much larger counts.

You want to keep the bottles sealed and double bag (or mylar is better) the bottles then keep in the freezer. Keeping the meds in the freezer and free from oxygen will extend the shelf life for a very very long time.

You should also become friends with your local veterinarian. If you have a ****ty one, shop around for a good one. Most vets enjoy talking medicine. They won't give you medical advice of course but there is nothing illegal with them explaining which drugs to use for a sinus infection or deep tissue infection. They deal with infections and trauma every single day at work. I would be up front with why you are asking and you might be surprised by their response.

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely freeze them. I try to take meds (any type of med, including NSAIDs) as little as possible.

I haven't started looking into them to see if they're all the same as the stuff they sell for humans or which ones would be the most useful to have, but I thought this would be good to know. Not everything is sensitive to amoxicillin and not everyone can take it.

When you say mylar, what's the best source / way to do that? How about vac-sealed bags?

The problem with vac-sealed bags is that they are not a good oxygen barrier. This is the same problem with the drug bottles. Plastic simply does not prevent transfer of oxygen. You need metal or glass. This is the same process as food storage. It is no different than storing rice and beans for long term.

You can get 10 x 1 gallon mylars bags plus 10 oxygen absorbers with free shipping for $7.98. That's about as cheap as I can find it for you right now. Just throw the bottles in the mylar with an oxygen absorber then use your girlfriend's curling iron to seal the bags. The oxygen absorber will cause the bag to shrink like a brick of coffee. That is normal. You now have an oxygen barrier, place in freezer and you are good to go for a very long time.
