Fishing Clubs or Private Ponds Memberships

Indian Springs State Park is only about an hour from you. My cousin used to take his son when he was younger there a couple times a year. They have caught a lot of fish out of the lake. Invest in a used john boat or something similar though. The banks are not as productive. Best of luck to you and your son!

There is a very deep pond off Wagon Wheel Trail north of Fayetteville. It is on private property, just a few blocks from where your Sheriff lives (or used to live).

Huge fish in it. See who owns it now, and check on permission to fish.

Good luck to you and your Son.

thankfully i know most lakes in georgia are public. when i did lake management years ago there were only a few truly "private" lakes. lots of lakes are in neighborhoods but are still considered public land, you may have an annoyed neighbor come out but there not much they can do most of the time. also be thankful that for the most part none of the "private" lakes i knew about where actually worth a **** when it came to fishing, most of the time they were just rich HOA's who just wanted to be able to look at the water and never wanted anyone in or around it and let it go to waste.

There is also some good fishing near the Hooch from bridges

Go to church, find some old lady with 100s of ac. And farm ponds, trade work for rights to property. Teaches ur son the value of hard work, respect, etc. All while catching the biggest fish of ur life and the most in one sitting.

Seriously good advice.

Repairing fence, clearing fence lines, fixing field roads, bush hogging, haying, repairing and maintaining tractors and farm vehicles, etc., etc.

Not only fishing, but most private land is closed for hunting, unless you have some kind of work related arrangement with the owners.

That is how I was taught when I was young and how I get into all my opportunities still today. There arent as many people willing to work for it anymore. I've taught my kids that if your going to fish at these peoples house u need to ask if there is any thing they need done. Not to mention the lifelong friends you make in the process

Same here. The contacts you make and the access granted are unavailable anywhere else, at any price.

I even have one guy I know that refuses to look at a computer. But his oddball equipment always needs something, and it is always available on the net. I tell him to get it there, but he won't do it. The smile on his face when I show up a few days later with what he needs in my truck bed is priceless.

We all have unique skills and knowledge. Trading it is fun.

How do you know what is truly private? I have a small lake near me that runs along a public road. I'd love to take my son kayaking & fishing there but don't want to be trespassing.
