Flip Side: What Is Your LEAST Favorite Feature Of Your Vehicle?

2020 Silverado. Has a BS auto stop function. Turns the engine off when setting at a light , then restarts it . Some emissions fuel saving BS . But I can / have to turn it off when I start the truck. REALLY %ing annoying .
Neighbor bought something like this to disable the automatic start/stop "feature" for his Silverado 1500:

No auto start/stop on the 2500/3500 series. :)

I’ve seen those. Unfortunately it’s a stone beech to install. Lots of disassembly, arthritis keeps me from doing it . It’s just such a stupid feature , but that’s my opinion .

The earlier versions required removing part of the center console to install.
This one connects to the battery and is easily installed in a few minutes.

The auto start/stop "feature" is designed to sell batteries and starters. :(

least favorite features on modern vehicles:

1-- Automatic door locking when you start driving.

2-- Automatic activation of the windshield wipers 1 to 2 seconds before the fluid squirts on your glass, which means your wipers are scratching the hell out of your glass for the first wipe cycle. ( it'll still be dry at that point).

3-- Automatic door UNLOCKING when you put it in "park" --what if I only put it in park because I need to concentrate on fighting off the gang of carjackers that are trying to force their way into my vehicle??

Well you dumb SOB automobile designers / engineers just let them in!!

My 2022 Ford f150 doesn't have that feature which is why I love my truck. It also doesn't track my driving.
Yes it does. EVERY car is mandated by Federal law to have a "black box" in them.

It may not email it to the dealer (that they'll admit to, anyway), but it's definitely recording throttle position, speed, acceleration, deceleration constantly.

I bought a 4Dtech auto stop that plugs into the ODP port and automatically bypasses the auto stop feature on my 2019 F150 so I don’t have to turn it off every time I start the truck. They make them for a lot of makes including Chevy.

I’ve been told if you plug in one of those receiver lights to your trailer plug it will also not do the auto stop thing.

I haven’t confirmed it, I just press the button.

Well, I don't own a "modern" car, but I've driven some rentals. Here's what I don't like:
1. Constant data collection stored in the black box, mandated by Federal Law
2. Automatic lock/unlock doors, especially if they all unlock when I get close with the fob in my pocket. I really wanted that Serial killer to go for a ride with me.
3. Can't start it unless your foot is on the brake - the damned thing is in PARK, why do I have to have my foot on the brake?
4. Can't shift from park, or into park, unless foot is firmly on the brake.
5. Adaptive cruise control.
6, Touch screen anything, and even more so, touch screen everything. I'm going blind driving at night, looking over at the screen to try to figure how how to turn the damned A/C up. Let's see, Menu, Heating/Cooling, A/C, Temp Control... Say, when did I rear end that car?
7. Auto turn off when I pause in traffic. I go to shoot across traffic in a left turn and nearly die while I'm waiting on the engine to start.
