Fly Fishing Thread .....

Does anyone use high end fly rods? Winston’s , Oyster bamboo? Orvis Helios? Thomas and Thomas? How do they compare to mid range priced rods? Feel? Casting?

Iv'e got a #7,#8,, #9 weight in Thomas & Thomas, Never found any other Rod that could come close to them,, They are the 4 piece Travel Series.

My youngest is 10 and I got these for him. For the money, they aren't bad. Especially since next year they will be too small.

Ya the T&T aren't cheap but will last a life time,

I really like a 10” 4 weight rod . I can cast it very well, I can nymph it, throws stuff well with an indicator . Just a great all round rod .
