I have a dulcimer built by Sam Greene. It was a custom ordered item and meticulously hand made. Now Sam passed away in I believe it was 2012. So that leaves me high and dry when it comes to finding out anything about this instrument. I sent a message to the owner of Wood N Strings music store, he carried a lot of Sam’s dulcimers. But I have yet to hear anything back from him. This is all I know from my own research. I’m coming up empty. I can’t find any for sale anywhere and I really have no clue what it’s worth. So, do you guys know anything about Sam Greene and Greene Mountain Dulcimer??

I did see the website. I emailed them, but I’m guessing since Sam passed away, they no longer monitor the email accounts. That’s just my thoughts though.

Yep, thats going to be a tough one. You may want to try Gruhn guitars up in Nashville.

I've only played a Green Mountain dulcimer once but it was well made and had a rich, deep voice from what i remember

From what I can tell it is very well made. There are a couple of blemishes here and there but that’s to be expected. As far as sound goes,
It is quite a beautiful sounding instrument. I have no use for it, but I like the story behind it.
