It has the original and I'd like to keep it in one piece.
I've been shopping hard for a Plumb Half-Hatchet with a "4 blade. I've found plenty with the "3 1/4 blades but the 4 has proven elusive.

You need to plate it in silver for werewolves and vampires. It doesn't hurt to be prepared. 
I have a couple of old hatchets. One was pretty rusted and didn't have a handle so I cleaned it up. Very usable. The other had some minor rust that cleaned up nicely. Both were my granddad's. The other is one that was made for my son by a guy he works with. He makes knives and hatchets as a hobby.
