Who did the chrome job on that TRP?

Here are two 70 Series Colt’s. Top is a 100% unmodified original factory Colt Combat Government. Bottom one is a Lightweight Commander. Original Walnut Grips ( which I still have) were replaced with Colt Pachmayr grips to match the Combat Gov’t.

They both have one feature I like on a 1911 - full length guide rod.

Thats nice. I have been on the hunt for a early 70's combat commander. Hard to find a unmolested one.

Series 70 I picked up used in ‘76 for $160 from Wilson’s in Lavonia.
Still got the box, docs, and original grips (somewhere).
