One of the first rock albums I started listening to when I was a kid was Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.

In the instrumental part in the middle of Us and Them track, there is some dialog going on which I could never clearly understand what they were saying, but it sounded like two soldiers discussing hand to hand combat

I ran across this article last week, which I had never seen.

It turns out the dialog is actually one of the Pink Floyd roadies talking about a road rage incident he recently had (according to this article). This dude has a unique laugh that is heard in other tracks on that Album.

Hey Booger, one of the liner notes in Alan Parson's release of Dark Side of the Moon (The Quad mix) was the singer Clare Torry, who did that moaning/yelling vocal on the "The Great Gig in the Sky".

According to Parsons, she was a fairly unknown but had worked with her before. She was just hired to come in and do some background vocals but nobody knew what she was really capable of.

But that unknown chick belted it out amazingly.

Before I married my wife she claimed to hate Pink Floyd... she'd never listened to Pink Floyd. Now she loves them and wears their t-shirts. My neighbors seem to like them now too:victorious:
