CMC - carboxymethylcellulose
It's in a lot of foods you already eat. Used as a thickener in ice cream, puddings, milk shakes, etc.

I would worry more about the polluted water the shrimp came from than the CMC. Besides, if you knew what was in most of the packaged and processed foods you eat, you would starve to death because you would be so grossed out.

...that, or it could just be electrolytes ("Brawndo").
and that's why I hunt and grow my own food anything I have to buy from the grocery store is organic. I'm not feeding my children garbage

Organic doesn't always mean what you think it means. Typically that certain pesticides, for example, are not used, but remember that most of the nastiest, most toxic substances known to man-kind were developed by mother nature. Home grown is always good if you can do it.

yeah I know it's not 100% but I'm going to try my damndest to keep as many carcinogens out of my kids bodies as possible
