What would you reccomend to clone amber shellac?
I use Transtint dyes both powder and liquid. Mix with isoppryl alcohol and then a topcoat of poly or zinsser's shellac. They are somewhat expensive but with those 3 colors you can get anything from blonde to "Russian red". They can also be mixed with zinsser's for the topcoat to add another layer of color.

I've thought about having that done, I've been looking at the folding stock etc. I'm gonna start refinishing the wood tonight and see how that turns out. I got the call from Meridian today and the Maadi will be here Monday. Been a long wait on that one.
I'm waiting for my shorty RPK to come back... it's been about two months now, so only one more month to go!

Honestly I am probably just going to slap a chrome lined 16" barrel on there, a siderail, and then burn some tiger stripes into the wood because that'd be... different.
I bubba'ed an SKS like that and it turned out pretty okay.
