Foreign Weapons and Obscure Builds

I wouldnt pay retail for a mini, but they can be had for $400-500 pretty regularly. I once got really lucky and bought on for 350.

The AR 10 is more modular than an M1A, but the M1A doesnt really need to be modular..nor does the AR10 for that matter.
At 350, I would buy a Mini-14.

I like being able to swap out the grip, trigger, sights, and handguards when I want on an AR-10.

I guess that's why ARs dont really appeal to me...or appeal alot less. I dont really care about that stuff. I find what I like and it rarely ever changes. That's one of the primary reasons I like AKs....they have been distilled down to the absolute basic requirements. I wish there was a longer sight radius with peep sights from the outset but they really arent required for what it's meant to do, fight inside 200-250y.

Galil ACE has the best sights I have used on AK. Rear flip peep sight with tritium vials in the rear and front sights.

Pretty solid deal right there

When I lived in CA, I had a PSL, Mini Draco, SAM-7K, Romy G, and a ton of other really cool guns. It just takes a lot of money, knowing all the gun laws inside and out, and knowing which FFLs do too. I guess it's a lot harder as of late, but there are plenty of creative ways to deal with ban compliance.

They live in the LA area. They say it easier out in the desert or northern Cali.
