Only one I'd consider is 308.

I wouldnt pay retail for a mini, but they can be had for $400-500 pretty regularly. I once got really lucky and bought on for 350.

The AR 10 is more modular than an M1A, but the M1A doesnt really need to be modular..nor does the AR10 for that matter.

I paid $375 OTD on a mini that sat on the shelf at a own shop for over a year marked $649.99. I said I got $350 cash and they said +tax show us the $$$ and it was mine.

Shoulda jumped on blem sale for $1000 last December, when IWI was clearing out Gen2 ACE in 308 and 7.62x39.

I guess that's why ARs dont really appeal to me...or appeal alot less. I dont really care about that stuff. I find what I like and it rarely ever changes. That's one of the primary reasons I like AKs....they have been distilled down to the absolute basic requirements. I wish there was a longer sight radius with peep sights from the outset but they really arent required for what it's meant to do, fight inside 200-250y.

Get an RPK... nice long sight radius there!
