Then how come Wisconsin has a wild pig problem? As does Oregon?
You talk about paying attention to facts while ignoring those presented to you. As you have by ignoring the clear fact your statement about Coyotes being a southern species is unarguably BS.
"Barstool biologists speculate how feral pigs arrived in Wisconsin. Three theories seem most plausible. The first suggests feral pigs escaped or were intentionally released from game farms. The second holds that feral pigs had been released by recreational hunters for sporting and training purposes. The third and most popular assumption is that bear hunters released feral pigs to train their dogs to pursue bears. Since wild pig populations are so spotty and seem to build up in small pockets with huge areas between them, human intervention in establishing these populations seems like a more likely explanation",this off a Wisconsin DNR page,

Xiaoming Wang and Richard H. Tedford, one of the foremost authorities on carnivore evolution,[43] proposed that the genus Canis was the descendant of the coyote-like Eucyon davisi and its remains first appeared in the Miocene 6 million years ago (Mya) in the southwestern USA and Mexico
OK,I think this shows your theory of them not being a southern species is incorrect if you only consider the eastern half of N.America,However as I said they are migrating into the south more due to their habitat in other parts of the country being removed/destroyed/lack of food sources, climate change, etc. and hence they have migrated to a better habitat as well as a more natural temperate climate they prefer due a more abundant food source as well for them to grow their packs.
As I recall the folks at certain Ga. Army base's have brought some into help control deer populations as well.So some of it has been man-made to a degree also.Either way they like the warmer climate which is only getting warmer mainly due in part to man's decision to ignore the fact that climate change is happening at much faster rate than previously thought.Even our own gov't study just released over Turkey day,
So there you have it,just the facts
