All those tools (and a lot more I didn't drag out) all belonged to my granddad.
He was a machinist and shop foreman at Corbin Russwin & Stanley Works.

The tools that usually get my attention are the ones that are either way overbuilt, extremely complicated for simple task, or those that were an attempt at improving on something that was already near-perfect...
I've got a bunch of that Oddball stuff as well and I'll be doing some rearranging in the future and I'll snap some pictures of some of the really strange stuff that took me awhile to figure out what's the purpose of it was

And then of course there are those tools that have there's absolutely goofy names that either aren't politically correct anymore or just plain strange...

I have a few of those fold out rulers and a box of chisels that look a lot like the ones you've pictured. Tools that were all made in the USA and will stand up to work for many years to come.

I think I have one or two more coats of paint left to finish the vise and get everything back in order. I think this will make someone happy...

It's amazing the quality of Steel that they used in chisels and in files years ago. I mean they do make really nice ones now but they will definitely let you know it was the price tag!
