That Beemer brat needs custom temperature gauge that is illustrated to match the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears
The left side of the gauge will say
"temp too low."

The far right side will say
"temp too hot."

And in the middle it will read:

"Oh goody! This is just right!"
 
I can't tell you how many of my customers have called me complaining about a "battery light" being on after buying a new battery.
I don't understand this.
The battery warning light came on in their car, so they went somewhere and got a new battery and changed it or had it changed.
But the warning light remains on.
So now they're calling (you) (or some mechanic) for further assistance.

That seems reasonable to me.
Not the ideal course of action, which would have involved a diagnosis of the electrical and charging system, but it doesn't show the same level of ignorance as the BMW owner showed regarding his temperature gauge.
 
Worked in the automotive field a few years, lots of uninformed calls. My typical response that worked almost every time, please go over your owners manual, its very thorough. Thank you.
