Fox TV bans super bowl ad,, ???

Well you said it so of course I disagree ;) lol

I actually don't have television, my girl and I have not for 2 years now. So I didn't watch the superbowl :) We took our dog to the park, went out and had a nice dinner with friends, came home and went to bed early (we both have to be up at 4:30) Half time shows are usually lame so I will just go ahead and say I agree with GDAWG :)

From someone with 6 kids, take it from me. Get a TV!

My brother in law has 4 and they have not had TV for about a year now. The kids all play piano, violin, guitar, and flute. All of them can sew, knit, and are skilled in all types of knots. They are constantly reading usually 3-4 books at a time (they are also home schooled). They have a very large garden, and 30 chickens that are free range organic fed and the children operate a small egg/produce business from this. They are currently learning Spanish, German, Italian, Greek, and Russian (they do this on their own time) They are always doing hundreds of projects...building computers, making walking sticks, snow globes...all kinds of stuff. They are a quite skilled with firearms and knives. They all love to cook, and are quite good at it. If all of that can't keep them busy than they still have a trampoline, go-kart, bikes and dogs to play with. I've never seen them bored.

I meant the lack of a TV will lead to the pile of kids. We could never find anything better to do in the evenings:)

i'm impressed. my 4 kids are sheep. one daughter is an air-head and the other is a stuck-up beauty queen. the boys are ADHD and wrestle most of the time or play xbox online with friends. we live in suburbia and TV/internet is a necessity.

I don't even know where to start with this......it's so hard to get a point of view across on a forum without the face to face conversation. It's too easy to read into something that has been typed instead of spoken (social media is anything but).

I'm going to try and make a few points, but I'm sure that there will be some that jump all over it.

1. This country was founded on Christian values and thrived for a long time while these values were embraced.
2 There are just as many anti Christian folks out there as there are anti any other religion folks.
3. There are way more "Christians" that are Christians just because they don't want to be called anything else than there are real Christians.
4. There was only one sin free Christian, the rest of us are hypocrites to a certain level.
5. Islam teaches that all non believers have to convert or be killed.
6. Islam also teaches that this world has to be destroyed so their creator can return.
7. This country is a free market for all sides. When you do something that the people don't like and they respond in a negative fashion, tough crap for you. They are free to do so. (all sides!)
8. This is the only country that the government makes is illegal to discriminate. Head to Germany and see how many nice places you get into as a U.S. citizen.
9. People that are pissed off about being discriminated against should be pissed off at the group they belong to that have done enough wrong that the rest of society dislikes them. Remember "birds of a feather"?
Example for #9
Should I be mad at the restaurant that would not allow my wife and myself in while in Germany or should I be mad at the many Americans that made an ass out of themselves in the restaurant making the owners not want that behavior there anymore?
10. People kill other people every day no mater what the religion. The difference is Christianity teaches against it and Islam teaches to "get some". Major difference there!
11. All of us dislike in some way other race/religion/people to some extent, the only difference is if your a white Christian and don't like someone you're the grand dragon. Ever see a white comedian get away with some of the funny and true jokes that get told by the Hispanic/Black/Jewish comedians do? The only race jokes the white Christians are able to be famous for are redneck jokes.

I say, always remember that we are a Christian nation, but allow people to choose for themselves, stop trying to change that fact. If you don't like the way things are done here go back to the rat hole where you came from and change it. If we are so bad why are you here?
People of all religions are welcome as long as you're peaceful and you're willing to become an American not a hyphenated American. If your allegiance doesn't lie with America then you shouldn't be allowed the benefits that come with this great Nation and you should be sent packing.

Does America do some ate up crap? You bet she does. Is she, with all of her faults, still the greatest most free nation in the world? You bet she is.

So there it is, the way it's seen from my front porch. Feel free to try an poke holes in it if you like, but know it will be difficult to impossible to change my mind on the facts if you've never been out of the country, you're under 50, single with no children, never fought for your country, served the less fortunate, or served in any church...... I've been too many places and it's been too many years getting to this point.

I don't even know where to start with this......

I couldn't have said it any better. I used to work for a very VERY 'diverse' company. Here I am... a white, Christian, middle-aged, non-gay, married, with kids......... and it's company policy to 'embrace' all of the "diversity" that I have been taught is just flat-out wrong. I had to listen to Wiccan teaching (well, I didn't have to, but was encouraged to), I had to accept and embrace those groups who are undermining my country and what it stands for. But OHHHHHHH... I'm a professed Christian???? I'm a biggot and a hater and unaccepting. Sheesh... their thinking is a bit askew!
