I'm an Air Force Veteran and have a couple friends, one paramedic and one a USMC Vet and now is an FBI agent. I'd have to get with them but I would think that we would love to participate if you are still willing to make this kind offer.
Always willing, I live in the Dallas area. It doesn't take very long to show the basics. In a couple of hours at the most you can have a good enough understanding to practice at your leisure at home. Even in a non wooded environment (like a class room setting with a with a white board)... But I do think it helps to touch and feel things over learning theory. My wife will have me booked with a massive honey do list until after the first week to mid June, but after that my weekends are open. I could travel to your location within reason

I have a post in "survival" to teach people how to make cordage from your lawn (uncut long pieces) and some one said I should be careful about the LAW if I'm showing people "how to roll grass". I thought I'd share that with y'all for the laugh you might get. If I can't give away survival skills lessons, I can sure give a smile away for free
