Up for sale is my John Deere 425 with only 507 hours. If you are looking for a machine that you can use now and will still be running strong when it’s time to pass down to your kids, this is worth looking at. It starts easily, runs like a top, and is a beast of a machine. It comes with a 54” heavy duty shaft-driven mulching mower deck (not an inferior belt driven deck). The deck is very thick steel (weighs 185 lbs) and all spindles turn freely. It’s ready to mow today. It also comes with a 54” 4-way hydraulic blade with quick hitch.
This has the highly revered liquid-cooled Kawasaki engine. If you are looking for something that can accept all sorts of ground engaging attachments (front blade, snow blower, tiller, front end loader, 3-point hitch, plows, etc, etc) this will do it all. It weighs close to 900 lbs and the hydraulics are strong enough to easily lift the front end off the ground using the front blade.
I have just replaced the oil, oil filter, air filter, pre filter, spark plugs, and fuel filter.
The deck raises and lowers via hydraulics and the front blade is operated via hydraulics as well. This machine is comparable with the current John Deere x700 series.
The only reason I’m selling this is because I just found the tractor I’ve always wanted (John Deere 318)…though frankly the 425 is a stronger and more capable machine. I don’t have room in my shed for 2 tractors so this one needs to find a new home.
Below are the original prices for all items included:
JD 425 tractor - $8,995
54” mowing deck - $1,400
Front quick hitch - $660
54” hydraulic front blade - $1,600
Total - $12,665
I’m asking $3750
