Item Name: Ruger M77 RSI .308 - Tang Safety
Location: Dallas, GA
Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: $600
Trade Value or Items Looking For: Bolt rifle in .257 Roberts, .300 Savage or .250 Savage
Caliber: .308 Winchester
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: I have decided that I need more non-standard chambered rifles, therefore I have for sale or trade a Ruger M77 RSI (the one with the full-length stock) chambered in .308 Winchester. This is the tang-safety model. It doesn't have the red recoil pad, however.
It has some marks on the wood as it has been hunted with. The most obvious one is on the bottom just in front of the floorplate. It looks as if the previous owner rested it on something abrasive when shooting it. It isn't horrible though and I have shown it in the pics below.
I installed a Rifle Basix sear on it to clean up the trigger. It breaks like glass at 2.5#. I have shot great groups with both factory ammo and reloads. It really likes 165 grain bullets and my current hunting load is capable of 3/4" 5-shot groups.
The scope pictured is not included, but the rings and sling are.
I would prefer to trade for a comparable value bolt action rifle in .257 Roberts, .300 Savage, or 250 Savage.
