I bought this rifle used from a friend in the Air Force when he moved to CA, I've never shot it but I know he has put rounds through it. He bought it used several years ago, so he didn't know how many rounds it has through it

Comes with 1 30 rd aluminum GI mag.

I don't get it. Someone please enlighten me. There IS NO BAN!!!! What advantage does a pre-ban AR have over a post ban AR? Why even use the term? Are pre-ban AR's more accurate? Is ammo easier to obtain for a "pre-ban" AR? What am I missing?

He means pre 1990s Clinton ban

There is no ban here, but those who live in ban states are sometimes able to purchase "pre ban" rifles with all the evil features. I assume some ban state ODT members or GA ODT members headed to a ban state would find this rifle advantageous.

I think it also has to with a bayonet lug and threaded barrel.

Under the Clinton Ban criteria (which still exists in some states): , Must have fixed stock only.....Pistol Grip, Detachable Magazine, Bayonet Lug, Flash Suppressor.....pick two.

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. So you are telling me that if I bought this rifle I could tote it with me if I moved to California, with a thirty round mag, a bayonet lug, a flash hider and a collapsible stock and all would be grandfathered? J/m not trying to be facetious but if that were the case, someone could make a lot of money moving to California with a few hundred "pre-ban" AR's
