.32 S&W Long cal., Hand Ejector - Third Model, 6 shot fluted cylinder,4 1/4, in. barrel, nickel finish, grips of checkered hard rubber with "S&W" monogram, round butt. SN: 271XXX
Latest Patent Date on the Barrel is Dec 09 14. Based on the serial number, it appears to have been made around 1917.
Brilliant Finish all over. No Rust. I inherited it in 1966 from my grandfather and just put it away and never touched it again. Never fired it. My grandmother told me that he had it when they got married in 1924 and that she did not remember him ever having it out.
I live in Warner Robins but have grand children in Suwanee so can always justify a trip up and can meet anywhere along the way.
