The value is in the silver content, not the age of the coin. $2.00 bills are very common, ever the older ones. I have some red ink bills that do not fetch much more than face value. Unless paper money is persevered and graded early, do not look for more than face value. I got a few thousand in sequential 100's and 20's the other day they were brand new crisp and clean. IF I were to have saved some, being sequential they may go up in value in a hundred years or so. The government prints bills like they are nothing, I would not suggest "investing" into them.

I agree 100%. I was just playing devils advocate that the asking price was not as obscene and ridiculous as it was made out. It's definitely not in the same league as a $300 high point 380 or a $1500 Frankenstein-ar.

I really find it amusing your mad that people don't want to buy your current legal tender for more than its worth.

And yes I have around 100 2 dollar bills and I still don't think they are worth more than 2 dollars..

But I do have some dimes from 1996 I'd sell for $1 each.

you missed the entire point, no one is mad just wish others would not be so quick to shoot down someone else's attempt at a sale, along these lines I once was trying to sale a marlin 444 to a member of the gun club during a cast bullet match, he showed a lot of interest when one of the charter members opened his big mouth and said, hell those don't shoot the cast bullets worth a....., so there went my sale, i.e. if you think something is priced wrong keep ya mouth closed and try a pm instead. like I said earlier I do not go on threads and say well u can buy that same glock new at gunshop x for the same price this goob is wanting for his with 40,000,000 rounds thru it, just looking for the same courtesy

however the value is not just the silver content but a combo of the silver and rarity of the coin and condition, check on it.

I understand wanting to make a sale and all, but if someone I even remotely know is about to get got then I am going to open my mouth to make sure it doesn't happen. It is nothing personal to the seller just looking out.

WELL SEE YOUR 5;S ARE an EVERYDAY occurrence, do you have 50 2 dollar bills? most likely not since you don't know enough to know sometimes you can sell the two's?

Boom! ya nailed me wide ear p I don't know nothing about them there $2 bills, you know so much about...
you are way less ignernt than me... I'm a goof ball (your words) that likes the ODT.

Splain to me the significance of getting these postmarked the day they were released for circulation?
Probably just a coincidence I personally had 50 "STAMPED" Apr. 13, 1976...

Jeepers dude, take your superiority down a notch, just a suggestion.

Rant over...
