What you have is one nice hog hunting piece. ( ask me how I know.) you can clean a SS S&W just about anyway. (Short of power tools, sand paper, and steel wool.)
If the scope is not for you, a replacement rear sight should be easy to find at numrich or a similar sight.
If you look for grips (stocks) look for K or L frame (yours is an L frame, but stock size is same as K.)
