G17 Gen4 Issues? Someone ease my mind!

Please keep us updated. I'm hoping to have a range report for my lonewolf extractor sometime tomorrow (got the parts in the mail and installed them last night on both a Gen 2 and Gen 4 19). I'll be interested to read yours as well, especially if the LW doesn't fix the problem.

I've never had this problem with my Gen 2. Are you getting BTF?

Hello. I have not heard any issues. We are a stocking dealer for Glock. However I have noticed that the desire for Glocks have fallen off. However if you are looking for a glock, i would defiantely go gen 4. Its actually better than the 3. You have interchangeable grips, and it has an actual recoil spring rather than the recoil bar. Your magazine release is bigger and you get more bang for your buck. What exactly are your fears so I know exactly what your inhibitions about it are?

Gen 4 9mms have been having issues with brass ejecting directly into the shooters face. This is not one or two people, there are threads and threads on Glock Talk and other sites. Apex Tactical had created their own ejector to solve this issue that Glock refuses to acknowledge.

There are also instances of the case ejecting to the left. That's not good.

The Gen 2 was previously a painfully boring reliable pistol, just the way I like 'em. I took it to glock about two weeks ago for night sights and they "upgraded the internals" and now it's a BTF machine with the occasional stovepipe every 50-75 rounds.

I have a G17 Gen4 with a Streamlight TLR-2 on it and I have put many hundreds of rounds through it without a single issue. I do not shoot expensive ammo either, everything works.

It's definitely one of my favorite black guns (don't tell the others). :)

That's why I keep my Gen 2 away from there.
