Bought a grey ghost precision g17.3 slide and kit (brownells). Put everything together but the new slide won’t completely close on the lower when rounds are loaded. Empty everything cycles fine.
Looking from the side it looks like the frame is slightly “bent” up in the very front and making contact with the slide and providing just enoigh friction to not go the last 1/4” into battery. Usually a slight push with the thumb and it goes the rest
Of the way. I assume between the extra friction of a round and the frame in front it’s just enough to stop the slide the last 1/4”. Tried my reloads, factory ammo and snap caps. All stopped. All rounds pass the “plunk test”.
Anyone seen anything similar before??
Thoughts on how to correct it?
