GAMO Whisper Maxxim

Here are two that looked good on Walmart.com. One is 1100fps and the other is 1400fps. Both are .22. Does anyone see the difference? I M fine with a few more dollars but just curious as they look pretty much the same to me.

Either there is nothing there or I'm going picture blind.:)

My bad, got called away and posted without the links. Here you go:

Actually the 1400fps model is a bit cheaper. Could it be because of the wooden stock?
Yep, the stock seems to be the primary difference. The Nitro Piston is a good choice. It is a lot more forgiving than a steel spring model and the heavier wood stock helps mitigate the accuracy killing recoil.

Keep in mind that the 1400fps is only when you use the super light alloy pellets, not the standard lead type.

That is good info. Faster speed may equal less energy at impact . I think 1000fps with the heavier lead will be a good combo. A rattle can or two of cam will make the wood work just fine!!!!

Mine is in like new condition. Asking $100 for it. It has a small scope on it and has a tin of pellets although I don’t remember the count. Very strong pellet rifle.
