Shane. I Graduated from Dalton High in 95. The "gangs" then where little more than punks who thought they were tough. Today the MS13, like you said, has brought org and more ruthless members into our community. The post about the illegals being back quick. I had a buddy in Highschool who's family owned a carpet mill ( small scale). Le Migra raided them on a wednesday and four of the six illegals where back there to go to work on the following Monday. They where turned away but still it shows the inefectiveness of the system.
I can believe what you are saying. The gangs at the high school (fir the most part) were just playing dress up. I wonder what will occur in the future here. I spoke with one of the local cops and he said that gang activity was way down.

Put a bullet in their heads and be done with it. Gangs are nothing more than social pariahs that drain the system and capitalize on the weak minded. We will never get rid of the problem if we do not combat it the same way they combat authority. I say we go total shock and awe on them, some real Von Clausewitz $%#$%#$%#$%#. I cannot stand gangs and there ownership mentalities. IF you think it is the big cities we have them here in Valdosta. My apartment manager just opened the complex to government subsidized renting and a lot of red has been showing up in our complex and the one next to us.

Have dealt with a couple of the 30 Deep. One was involved in the Smash and Grab robberies that gripped the local news media a couple of summers ago.
MS-13 is a totally different beast though. They operate with the same type of savage tactics you see prevalent in Mexican drug cartels along the border.
SHANE, yeah the meth heads make me more nervouse than the gangs. I think I could put a 9mm round through their head and they would still come at me. I have delt with alot of them in my former career in Murray county. BAD JUJU
