I finally got to put gas in my pickup today. Last time I filled up was 2-24 @ $3.11. Can't wait!!! But a 2007 Toyota Tundra only holds 20 gallons when the light comes on. Never figured that out for a 26 gallon tank. My last one, a 1990 Ford F-150 had dual tanks for a total of 36 gallons. 16-17 MPG is the best I can get.
Everyone should be bombarding their US Reps and Sens with emails supporting the immediate lifting of drilling bans and startup of increased domestic reduction.
I already have and I re send about 1x per month.
We can't survive having to depend on foreign suppliers who at a whim can cut us off and destroy our economic stability.
Good grief, sounds like I'm talking out our own government, Obama and the Liberal Dems, have already effectively stopped our development enhanced production.
They do fear the loss the loss of their prestige and perks from their congressional position and that puts the power with us if we will only make it known to them that we WILL use it at the ballot box if they don't listen to us.
there's no shortage in oil... it's a commodity traded and sold. the more that is traded and held in storage, the more it no longer complies to supply and demand. just the threat of a shortage will cause the price to change (even if supply is still high and demand is low). one cannot purchase directly from a competing oil company, they all pool the oil for a global price tag. there is no oil competition to drive price down. most of the cost of oil and fuel is made up of accumulated taxes. if you want to see change, then use up all the fuel until the governments are forced to seek oil alternatives.
