I'm considering going from electric to a gas stove run off an 100 gallon propane cylinder. This seems like a fairly straightforward job of the kind I normally do myself.

What am I missing? Why should I hire this out?

We put a new one in at my son’s house! Gas line was already ran! So it’s basically just bring it in and hook it up!( so I thought)
After a few weeks, I think that I have finally got it adjusted to where all the eyes burn like they should had a lot of red and a lot of orange color in the flames!
So taking it out of the box and putting it to work did not work on this particular unit!

My only input from when I switched from electric to natural gas is to check the check valve by blowing through it. I installed mine myself but I didn't use this check valve because the valve inside was actually installed backwards, and I already have a shutoff valve in line.

If you can’t flare copper tubing you’ll have to use the stainless steel flexible line. I’d check with the stove manufacturer for recommendations on line size. If you think you might want to ever put in gas heat for emergency back up go a size bigger with your line. The 100lb should come with a regulator….if not you need one. Make sure the orifices in the stove are propane.
