So...The Senate and the House has been unified more times under Republican control than Democrats...and there have been more Republican presidents than democrats last time I checked.
The Govt has been unified (senate and house) 47 times since 1857, 22 democratic control, 25 republican.
You forget that in the early days of America, the Republican party was the Democratic party and they switched rolls between the 1860s and 1936. Also, America’s first seven presidents were neither Democrats nor Republicans. Washington belonged to no party. John Adams was a Federalist. Jefferson, John Quincy Adams, Madison, and Monroe were all members of the Democratic-Republican party which later fractured into separate groups. And some Presidents, like Trump, were actually Democrats that ran as Republican. So your count is way off.
And the US has certainly not been more unified under Republicans; you can look it up. 3 to 2 in favor of Dems. The economy has historically performed much better under Democrats. Whether yall want to admit it or not, facts are facts.
Since 1962, Democratic Presidents have created 21.1 million more jobs than Republican Presidents, and jobs have grown almost twice as fast under Democrats than under Republicans.
· Total jobs created under Democratic Presidents: 68,312,000
· Total jobs created under Republican Presidents: 32,194,000
· Average yearly growth in jobs under Democratic Presidents: 1,952,000
· Average yearly growth in jobs under Republican Presidents: 825,500
· Average yearly percent growth in jobs under Democratic Presidents: 2.54%
· Average yearly percent growth in jobs under Republican Presidents: 1.17%
