Holy crap the traffic and crowds make this place a ghetto!!!! I advise never to go, it’s been invaded and you can get the same traffic and people in any cesspool large city. It is literally like 285 with the non-stop traffic up here. Dare I say it’s very multi-cultural now with all the libtards escaping the states they’ve already destroyed. No go zone!!! Not i, beach towns are used to it and know how to handle crowds. If you havent been to Gatlinburg/PF lately its 10x worse. We went last year and wont be back anytime soon, and we have a free cabin to stay in.

We go every Christmas, and it seems as though every single year it gets worse and worse.

last year me and the wife went and rode through Cade’s cove on the way home and it took 6 hours to get through it due to all the people in there... not again.

During the week helps somewhat, but it's still overwhelming traffic nonetheless. I haven't been in a few years but it's not the peaceful and tranquil place of the 80s and 90s. Gatlinburg and pigeon forge is another cash trap towns.

It just isn’t “the mountains “ and relaxing when you’re suffocated by crowds and traffic.

This is not good. My wife and our best friends are dragging me up to the casino in Cherokee , NC next week. Their plan is to spend 2 to 3 days visiting Gatlinburg and Pigeon Ford while we are there.

It caught me by surprise somewhat. I knew Clayton in North Georgia has been extra busy since Covid started. I had no idea that the mountains had become the go to for everyone across the country!!!! You may be fine as school is starting for many, so it may thin the herd a bit.
